Our Story
Introduction & Background
GEN50:20 OUTREACHES PROJECT is a consortium organization set up to give hope to teenagers and the community, to find a lasting chance to attain their education, and to give them relevance in life. The project is named GEN50:20, derived from Genesis 50:20, and was initiated by Feni Matheiro Jamal, a young Christian with a burden to address issues facing young people in Uganda, specifically in Arua district which is highly populated by Muslims.

The project will be implemented in Arua district across eight sub-counties:

- β Create a community that reflects our desire to serve and engage with God's word

Project Objectives
Promote Bible studies throughout Arua and surrounding areas
Use sports as a tool for scholarships through academy-type programs especially for the girl child
Equip youths with practical skills for self-reliance
Carry out evangelism to achieve life transformation
Reduce cases of drug abuse in Arua region
Increase HIV/AIDS campaigns to reduce spreading rates
Project Activities
School Visits
Awareness campaigns, formation of teenage peer learning clubs, debates on spiritual development, establishment of talking compounds on sex and HIV/AIDS, formation of children poem clubs.
Sports Activities
Volleyball, football, netball, basketball and other sports to attract youths and teach God's word, restoring and rebuilding lives.
Movie Nights
Showing Christian movies on specific biblical characters to equip spiritual life-changing skills.
Youth Camps
Annual camps involving physical fitness, devotion, Bible quiz, and activities to empower physical, social, spiritual, and mental health.
Bible Study
Daily Bible studies to empower spiritual lives of children and youths.
Music and Drama
Periodic performances to create lasting impressions on youths about living a godly life.
Counselling
Peer educators providing counselling for those physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually hurt.
